Course Overview

A two day introduction to safe practical and effective firearms handling. This course is specifically designed to train candidates in the fundamentals of pistol shooting, from safe handling to fast, accurate and effective close quarter shooting. You will be shown the most up to date techniques currently taught to Police and special forces units within the UK, to enable you to shoot with clinical efficiency and speed in a variety of realistic tactical situations.

* Weapon Familiarisation, Maintenance, Strip and Assembly
* Fundamentals of Pistol Shooting
* Grip, Stance, Trigger Control, Sights, loading /unloading
* Use of Holsters both Tactical and Concealed
* Instinctive Shooting ranging from 0 to 7 meters
* Aimed shooting ranging from 5 to 20 meters
* Multiple Threats / Multiple Shots
* Turns and "Walking the Box"
* Speed Reloads
* Introduction to Moving Targets

TFA provides firearms courses of all levels from basic introduction to advance skills and tactics.

FOUNDATION COURSES

TFA now provides courses for beginners or those with a limited experience of firearms. This includes a 2 day basic pistol course and a 2 day basic introduction to Pistol, SMG and Assault Rifle. Private Group bookings can also be arranged if required for a minimum of 4 students.

PROFESSIONAL COURSES

TFAs courses are available to Police, Military and PSD professionals who wish to learn new skills or improve their present level of knowledge and ability by learning the most up to date techniques used in the UK by elite Police and Military Special Forces. The techniques, skills and tactics have all been developed and evolved over many years as a result of direct Real World operations and live Contacts. TFAs instructional staff has firsthand experience of many such events around the world and in a wide variety of situations.

GENERAL INFORMATION

TFA always tries to maintain a high instructor to student ratio, usually 3 to 1, this ensures that students receive a very high standard of instructional input and constant evaluation which enables the instructional staff to monitor and fine tune students progress throughout. Course will have a maximum of no more than 12 students.
