General Information

TFAs Courses in Germany are now fully booked for 2010 and well into 2011. because of the level of demand for our courses we have now secured an New range facility 30 minutes outside Oslo in Norway. The nearest airport is Oslo and is served by www.norwegian.com/, www.sas.com, www.ryanair.com, Swiss Air, BMI, KLM and British Airways and all fly from most major UK Airports. Students are responsible for their own flights, the cost of which is not included in the course fees.

We use a number of Hotels in the nearby town, hotels are 3 to 4 star and provide very comfortable accommodation and excellent cuisine, some have leisure facilities and wireless internet. The cost of Hotel accommodation is included in the course fees.

Breakfast is available at the hotel and included in the course fee. Lunch is available at the Range, and evening meals can be taken in the Hotel or at a large selection of restaurants within walking distance of the hotels and are not included in the course fees. Students are responsible for their own lunch and evening meals, and bills must be settled independently.

The range is located approximately 10 minutes from the hotel and daily return transport is provided by TFA and is included in the course fees.

Most 2 day course are held over the weekend. Students are required to arrive on Friday and return home on Sunday evening, if you wish to stay an extra night and return on Monday please inform us when booking and we can make arrangements on your behalf, additional nights accommodation is not included in the course fees.

Currency


Norway uses the Krona, you will need some cash for lunches at the range etc. All major credit cards are accepted in shops bars and restaurants.

Suitable Clothing and Equipment


We recommend that you bring comfortable clothing which will allow you free movement. You will need trousers with strong belt loops and a sturdy belt in order to mount a holsters and mag pouch. The 5.11 Tactical range of clothing or Woolrich Elite Range is ideal. We also recommend that you bring good quality, comfortable boots, however sports shoes, or trainers are also acceptable. In the winter months you will also need to bring cold weather clothing that can provide protection from the elements.
TFA will provide you with all course equipment e.g. weapon, holster, magazine pouches, safety glasses, ear defenders, etc. If you want to bring your own equipment please inform us prior to the course.

Health and Legal



We recommend that if you do not have a new European Health Insurance card, then you can apply for one at http://www.ehicard.org or at the Post Office. Alternatively you can arrange your own suitable health insurance.

Acceptance and admission to the course is at the discretion of TFAs directors and staff. Students with any criminal history in relation to Firearms, Violence, Drugs or Fraud may not attend any of our courses. In the case of refusal no reason has to be given.

Conduct



All students must always act in a professional manner throughout the course duration. The Safety Rules and general Range Conduct must be adhered to at all times. Any unsafe weapons handling or behaviour will not be tolerated, and the word of the instructional staff is final. Conduct in the Hotel, Bars and Restaurants must be professional at all times. Any Breakages or additional surcharges incurred by a student (for example mini bars in the room, phone calls, room service etc) must be settled by the student immediately, failure to comply with this policy will result in the student being removed from the Course and or Hotel, and in such circumstances no refund will be given.
